GUATEX

Brand Identity + Brand Style Guidelines

User research, branding, brand implementation, brand guideline booklet, and brand strategy.

Work Includes

I created a distinct brand identity for Guatex, Museum of Traditional Guatemalan Textiles. In addition, I developed a brand style guide to assist their team in communicating the brand properly.

Overview

Guatex is an educational museum whose mission is to cultivate the study and appreciation of Guatemalan textiles, its history, its creation, and its relationship to human culture and expression.

Brand

Process

To develop Guatex's brand identity, I researched Guatemalan textile history, the creation process, the targeted audience, and the market/competitive landscape. My goal was to create a modern look with vibrant colors that would appeal to travel enthusiasts who are passionate about learning and seeking an immersive experience of Guatemalan culture. For future use, I created a brand style guideline to help internal and external teams communicate the brand properly.
